When Dad was young

When my Dad was young he was a golden gloves champ in college and a gymnast. That led to his standing on his hands on the back of his mothers chairs, ruining most of them. But it also led to his comming home on Friday nights when I was 3 or 4, and my brother Rick a year younger, with his pockets full of coins. He would walk around on his hands, coins falling out of his pockets, and the pronouncement that the coins were our "allowance" for the week. What fun.

Thinking of Grandpa

Going through so much death this summer made me think a lot about Grandpa and his memory. I hope this site reminds people of a remarkable man and remarkable life.
